The Mechtrix MX-5050 Center Stripping Machine will remove a preset length of insulation from along the length of an insulated wire. The machine is designed to process wire gauges from 0.5mm² to 8mm² (20 AWG to 8 AWG). The standard MX-5050 is designed to remove a “window” of insulation from 8mm (0.335″) to 40mm (1.575″) long.

A special short center strip version of the MX-5050 can be ordered that will remove a smaller “window” of insulation from 5mm (0.196″) to 10mm (0.394″) long.

The MX-5050 machine is electronically interfaced with the wire processing machine via a communication cable. The machine is activated with a simple closed contact signal from the wire processing machine indicating that the wire has stopped moving and is in position. This can occur during the wire feed cycle as many times as required or for the shortest possible cycle time, after the feed cycle during the cut/strip/termination cycle when the wire is already stopped. The maximum output of the MX-5050 is 3500 center strips per hour.

The machine is designed to process wire gauges from 1.5mm² to 95mm² (14 AWG to 2/0 AWG). The standard MX-5150 Heavy Duty is designed to remove a “window” of insulation from 13mm (0.512″) to 50mm (2.0″) long.
